What side effects should I expect from a Dysport treatment?
Posted on Tue, May 03, 2011
Welcome to the last part of our series on Dysport, a popular wrinkle relaxer. In this last article we will go over the potential side effects of a Dysport treatment and the possible costs involved. We will also talk about what type of wrinkle Dysport is not recommended for.
What are the risks and potential side effects?
It is important to understand that Dysport is not entirely risk-free. In general, however, the most common side effects of a Dysport treatment are soreness or mild bruising around the injection site. Some people may experience heaviness of the brow or a slight headache that lasts for several hours after treatment, and it is perfectly safe to take a mild pain killer to relieve this discomfort. Most importantly, the effects of Dysport are completely reversible, so any side effects will only be temporary.
Are Dysport treatments expensive?
It’s difficult to put a price on looking
and feeling your best. However, you should know that Dysport can help you look younger, more relaxed and in control for about the same price-per-month as a cut and color by your hairdresser.
Is There Anything Dysport Can’t Do?
Dysport is a wonderful drug, but it is not a ‘miracle cure.’ While it is extremely effective in the treatment of ‘expression lines,’ it is not the recommended option for lines or creases caused by aging or sagging skin. For these ‘static wrinkles,’ a dermal filler or mini- facelift will produce more effective results.
