Dysport: What happens during treatment?

Welcome back to our series on Dysport, a popular wrinkle relaxer. Last week we talked about how, by temporarily immobilizing the muscles you use to frown, Dysport can smooth out those lines, restoring a more youthful, less stressed expression to your face. And because you will be physically unable to frown after treatment, you may even lose the urge to frown! This week we will talk about what happens during a Dysport treatment.

For men as well as women

But with Dysport, a man’s face is smooth and unlined, giving him the self-esteem and confidence needed to excel in life and business.

What happens during and after treatment?

Tiny amounts of Dysport are injected directly into the facial dysport-face-diagrammuscles underlying the frown lines. It usually takes three to five small, almost painless injections between the eyebrows for an effective treatment. Most of our patients do not need anesthesia, but Dr Stover usually will apply cooling ice packs or use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) before administering the injections.

No down-time

A Dysport ‘session’ generally takes 10-15 minutes to complete. And when you’re finished, you can immediately resume your normal activities. Then in as little as 24 hours and increasingly over the following three to four days, your facial muscles gradually relax. The effect is subtle and you probably won’t notice it happening. You’ll simply become aware that you can’t contract your frown muscles.

Results?

The entire staff has me beginning to feel like a full-fledged woman. I am beginning to like the skin I wear! Feel like each one of you really, really cares about me...without pointing out how really old I am....helping me to stay positive. You know...young inside and slightly wiser and positive outside. Love you all.
