Posted on Tue, Apr 12, 2011
Aloha from Dr. John D. Stover’s Cosmetic Centers of Hawaii. We’re pleased to bring you this series of blog posts about Dysport, a safe, effective new way to give skin a smooth, supple appearance.
Everyone’s talking about Dysport...and it’s no wonder!
Dysport allows you to turn back the clock so you can literally look as young as you feel.
The goal of this series of blog articles is to provide you with the information you need so that you can make a well-educated decision about whether Dysport is right for you.
Used for crow's feet and frown lines
You’ll learn the background of this popular FDA-approved procedure and get a snapshot of what to expect if you choose Dysport to erase crow’s feet, frown lines, dynamic wrinkles (also known as “expression lines”), vertical muscle bands on the front of the neck, and other undesirable facial imperfections.
What is Dysport?
To help you understand fully exactly what Dysport is, we’re
going to have to use a few medical terms. But don’t worry...there are only a few. Dysport is an injectable prescription medicine containing 500 units of Clostridium botulinum Type-A toxin-haemagglutinin complex. Dysport should be administered only by medical professionals, who, like Dr. Stover, have an excellent understanding of the muscles and expressions of the face and the skill to retain your natural expression while removing the signs of aging.
Dysport works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters from nerves, which reduces muscular activity in the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. Exhale. That’s the end of the ‘medical jargon.’
