Mini facelift—less invasive than a traditional facelift and about half the cost.

We know that sifting through the many available cosmetic procedures can be difficult. To help you make an informed decision, we have written this series of blog posts on a popular procedure - the mini facelift. Here is the final part of this 4-part mini facelift series.
Are there risks and potential side effects?
Like any surgical procedure, a mini facelift is not entirely risk-free. Every patient will react differently to a mini facelift and some may exhibit different degrees of swelling and bruising. A list of medications to avoid prior to surgery to prevent major bruising is provided to patients and the application of ice to the face after surgery helps minimize any swelling or discomfort.
Patients who follow post-operative instructions are generally able to resume their daily routine within 48 to 72 hours after the procedure. If adjunctive procedures are done, the recovery period will be a few days longer.
Is a mini facelift expensive?
‘Expensive’ is a subjective term and it’s
difficult to put a
price on looking and feeling your best. However, a mini facelift typically costs a bit more than half as much as a traditional facelift because the incisions are much smaller than a traditional facelift and the procedure is much less invasive and less prone to complications.
These factors also cut down on the expense of any follow-up. Plus, downtime after a mini lift is minimal. Most patients are able to go back to work in about 3 days, so there is little, if any, lost time or income.
